JADE BURSTALL:
Jade Burstall is a Media Arts student at RMIT. Her works include Apples Apologies, Final Stella Wolf Hunter and Last Lupine Bride (2008). There’s a mechanistic repetition to these fabled characters - lost in a modern world, where Snow White smokes and Little Red Riding Hood is the wolf. Good girl/ bad girl roles shift and reverse and ripe red apples become symbols of desire to be fought over and devoured, no longer pure as the driven snow. |
